What is Freeze & Share?
Our innovative Freeze and Share programme gives you an opportunity to freeze your eggs for free and at the same time give another family the chance to have the baby they are longing for.
By taking part in our Freeze and Share programme, you’ll receive an egg-freezing cycle plus three years' storage free of charge. In exchange, you'll donate half the eggs collected from your treatment to London Egg Bank.

WHY FREEZE YOUR EGGS BEFORE YOUR 30s?
An optimal time to freeze your eggs is in your 20s and early 30s, while you have a higher ovarian reserve (the number of eggs in your ovaries) and healthier eggs. Sometimes the future seems a long way off. While you focus on your career, finding the right partner or addressing medical issues, time can run out.
Whatever your reasons, if you think you might want a family someday but aren’t ready right now or in the near future, egg freezing gives you the choice to decide when the time is right for you.

Freeze & Share lets you freeze your eggs for free, in exchange for donating half the eggs collected to a family who needs donor eggs to have their own baby. Donating half your eggs is a generous gift with the potential to change many lives for the better.
WHO CAN BECOME AN EGG DONOR?
Egg donors need to meet the following criteria set out by the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority (HFEA) and London Egg Bank:
You should be:
- Between 18-34 years of age
- A non-smoker
- Healthy with a BMI between 18-28
- An ovarian reserve within the normal range
You shouldn’t have:
- Personal or family history of inheritable diseases
- Untreated polycystic ovarian disease

This simple assessment gives both yourself and your consultant a clear picture of your current fertility status and check if your are eligible to join our programme.

How does it work?
The Freeze and Share Process
You can book complimentary initial consultation with our coordinator to learn more about the programme. During the consultation, we will explain how it works, the regulations of egg donation in the UK, and review your medical information to check your eligibility.
After your medical history review, you’ll be invited to the clinic for a fertility assessment with one of our consultants. This involves a blood test for AMH, a scan and a doctor consultation to review your result. This will help assess your current fertility health and your suitability.
After being accepted to the programme, your coordinator will talk you through a number of consent forms, go through the medication that you’ll need for the cycle and arrange for our counsellor to make sure you fully understand the implications of the programme.
From the start of your cycle, our team will guide you through the process and arrange scan appointments to monitor your response to the stimulation medication you’ll have over a span of two weeks. During this time, you'll need approximately 3- 4 scans to monitor progress and adjust your medication if needed.
Once scans show that you’re ready, we’ll collect your eggs in a safe and painless procedure that takes about 30 minutes. You should be fine to return home after an hour and get back to your normal life. We always suggest you have someone with you to accompany you home.
Mature eggs will be frozen by our skilled embryologists and half of them will be stored for your future use in our secure facilities. You’ll have a follow-up consultation with your doctor to discuss the outcomes of your cycle.
